Finding family
Finding family isnt always straight forward. We can point you in the right direction to search for new records that you might never have stumbled across.
Our research volunteers have assisted hundreds of families and will surprise you with their extensive knowledge.
If you're finding it difficult to break through a brick wall you might like to ask us about the success of using DNA to find new cousins that may open up more sources of information and even photographs.
Never give up, look at new methods and talk to more like minded people!
It's not all on the Internet
Since the promotion of the internet as an excellent source for finding records about families, we have forgotten the good old traditional search methods used traditionally often found in libraries, historical societies, the Public Records Office and a range of other places.
Bendigo Family History Group is ideally located in the Bendigo Goldfields Library in Bendigo CBD, together we provide a one stop shop to start or expand your family history, also located on the 1st floor is BRAC (Bendigo Regional Archive Centre), they have an extensive range of resources and have excellent, experienced staff to assist.
